She's a bit dense really.

If it was a narrow country lane as described i.e. not wide enough for two cars to pass easily then she was clearly going too fast for the road conditions, regardless of whether the cyclist was on the "wrong" side of the road. She is probably lucky it wasn't a large vehicle she came across.

The tweet was ridiculous and she deserves to be judged if she wishes to use social media to promote her stupidity and ignorance. Silly woman.

What kind of person thinks they've knocked someone off a bike and doesn't stop?

First that Police commissioner 'assistant' is taken down by her tweets and now this one. What is it with people needing to put EVERYTHING (inc illegal!!??) online!?

She doesn't even seem that sorry about doing it, just sorry she got caught. Modern day natural selection at work if you ask me....

Did you read the article?

I felt his handlebar just clip my wing mirror and my initial reaction was to brake, stop and look in the mirror. He did wobble slightly but he was upright, he was fine.

The cyclists response to the tweet:

" Oh hi! That was me you hit and FYI, you didn't knock me off, I'm too hard to be hurt by a pissy micra or whatever it was you were driving."

This response and having seen them both interviewed leads me to be more believing of her side of the story than his. I understand the Police will be taking no action, so maybe they see it that way too.

Let me fix that for you...

Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier. I have right of way - he doesn't even pay road tax!

one thing always puzzles me about these cycling road "trips" which in many cases are races, why are they allowed to race on the road when other motorists are not ?

Other motorists are allowed to. See 12 car rallies for example.

What a silly woman...

The tweet is the biggest mistake? How about not knocking cyclists when you drive, and if you do - stop.

No mention of her other social media postings, including a pic of her speedo at 95 mph.

If you are driving 95 mph and put the evidence up on Facebook, then you deserve to get done, even if it's just for being incredibly dumb!

A trainee accountant whose story does not add up!

I am not sure stopping (see dabbing the brakes) and looking in the mirror is the way it is supposed to be done. I thought he was supposed to have gone into the hedge.
