I've bought EV05 RAS and ideally it'd be nice to have it as EV05RA S. Will I be stopped by every BiB I see or is it pretty minor in terms of spacing?

Tell them you're a Chartered Engineer employed by the Highways Agency and that you feel it's OK. If they seem unreceptive tell them you'll get a note from your mum excusing it.

60 quid fine -ad infinitum -until either they confiscate it and reapply your old plate or you get pissed off with paying the 60 quids

it happened to me, once you get into the system for incorrect spacing the tugs seem to become more regular - so just keep your fingers crossed

Does the car not already sport an Evora badge? Whilst you're at it get some vinyl printed for some 12" high 'evora s' letters to put down each side, just so people can work out what you are driving, or in case you forget smile

You will look like a berk with that plate spaced that way, it will spoil the look of a very nice car. Put the plate in the bin,

Did you have the plate confiscated?
Do you know of anyone that this has ever happened to?
no I don't know of anyone having the plate confiscated , maybe its an internet myth ? - in my case I got sick of paying the £60 fines - I'll chance it again on my next motor change

Sell the car and get an Mitsubishi EVO 5.

That way you won't look like a dyslexic spaz. smile (Smiley faces always hide the bhyness.)

Yep, (speaking as a private plate holder) I'm with the Noes on this one. I can't understand how/why people think that a plate with random letters thrown into an otherwise-word is a good thing.

I me5an, you woul9n't put ran13dom cha5ract8ers into some7thing you wer2e writin7g down, woul6d you?

My daily runner has one number moved over, never been stopped even with the Police driving directly behind me. Even got a speeding ticket in the post with it!

Come and live in Cumbria... RIK WS has been driving around for at least 5 years that I know of, without ever being pulled over.
The last three years, it has been parked on the side of the A591 just as you enter Windermere!

I have a friend who has done something similar for the past 7 years and not once been stopped. He changes it for MOT time however.

It's a gamble and also depends on how keen the police are in your area.

If only car makers put some sort of emblem or badge on the back of their cars to tell people what model it is, then you wouldn't need to spend thousands on a number plate to tell them

If you've blown the money on the plate already, maybe put it back on sale and hope some other mug buys it. In the mean time, don't space it in a fashion you know to be illegal, just for the sake of making sure everyone knows you are in an Evora.

Some would say _this_ is the main thing.

So you are trying to say EVOSRA

Why ?

Do you have a speech defect you are particularly proud off?

Is it a warning to any copper who stops your car they are liable to be drooled on?
