Help: Ducati not honouring 'international' warranty

Given track record on honouring UN resolutions and international law, I doubt you'll have much traction on an international warranty there. Perhaps fit the bike with a local yellow number plate and try again.
I didn't know that bike dealers also dealt with international politics...Are you related to Nicolas Anelka?

Ahh right - of course the standard defense to criticising them. Well done.
Perhaps you could explain how your view regarding a country's international politics are relevant to a bloke complaining about how a particular motorcycle dealer treated him? Edited by FazerBoy on Monday 30th December 20:14

Perhaps you would like to explain how finding a regime abhorrent that flouts international law and UN resolutions, has anything to do with a dead extreme right political movement from another country from 75 years ago?
I have extensive personal and family experience of dealing with multiple organisations based there. So my point was that the OP is pissing in the wind if he expects any court action to come down on his side. It won't matter what the small print says on his 'international warranty', if the business has done the work then fked him for half the money, his only recourse is to try to get a concession from Ducati Italy IMHO.
3DP, The foreign policies of the current government have no connection to what an Israeli court of law would decide as the judiciary in Israel are distinct from the legislative/executive.
I don't intend on commencing proceedings in an Israeli court and hopefully the parties I've contracted with will be liable to the English courts - since that is where the product was purchased - but preferably Ducati will get their act together once they notice the negative PR they're getting from this in the Twitter war I will continue with.
The nature and tone of your posts do imply a certain agenda and I would prefer if posts remained relevant from now.

Or he was making huge generalisations and completely OT political points. Both views are available. The Israeli courts are independent, and function pretty well by the standards of the region. I have never had a problem enforcing a legal obligation that involved some process in Israel.

The mod who moved this needs to take more time to think in future. This is about the law and whether its a motocycle or a fridge is of no importance.
OTOH, since we need to know the wording of the warranty, popping it into a forum where someone might have one to hand might have been helpful ? Breadvan72 said:
I leave the politics and stereotyping out.
Which is certainly no bad thing, but this being a forum means that responses will be as varied as the people that take the time to tap something in. You can't deny that two people talking about a situation with on the ground experience (regardless of tone or agenda) is better than nobody talking about a situation. 3DP said:
Because the OP mentioned legal proceedings. If you've had any experience of trying to apply law suits as a foreigner to Israeli citizens or corporations, you would know that they give not even the slightest of 2 sts about the anyone's rights outside of their own race and citizens.

I'm not upset by anything on here. Read what 3DP said above, I think he offers something to think about, that's all.
