ossibly not, but I was quoting the superintendent in charge of things.

Shouldn't I believe what police officers say?
You clearly misquoted the superintendent then.

I'll refer you back to my previous post about you being wrong on pupose.

Supt Ellis added that the PC had been formally sanctioned and was subject to "an action plan concerning risk management and decision-making".

"His licence has been suspended, including removing his pursuit capabilities", he said.

Nope. Temporary removal of driving authorisation is usually one of the first things that would happen in my force.
And 'formal sanction'?
Not having been through the process myself I couldn't say with certainty, but I would expect a sanction to follow very quickly, yes.
Sanction before investigation & decision? I doubt it.

Superintendent did state (according to bbc and other outlets) that his licence had been suspended.

Not sure what you mean by 'clearly misquoted'

.....................................There appears to be sufficient evidence for this guy to be suspended & required to do reassessment.........
Why not?
Thats not a quote from the Super, just your words.

I corrected you on it and you replied after quoting a specially selected part of the article

Rovinghawk said:
I beg your pardon- it was his licence that was suspended
You then have the audacity to post this, in an attempt to further you defence

Clearly trolling for your own ends, whatever they may be.

If its true then what a tit. If its a traffic car then all the onboard kit will reveal all. We get asked all the time if our cars are quick, standard reply is 'no not really mate' as its just not worth it. We did once convince one young lad that our Pug 308 was fitted with NOS that comes on with the blue lights and sirens hehe

However there are a few things about the report that dont sound right. I'd imagine that by having his licence suspended means he's been 'grounded' until he's been re tested.

Dont bother..... bus lane thread says it all. Making up statistics, selective quoting, deflecting any challenges to his made up rubbish it really has it all. Part of me pity's him whilst the rest of me just laughs at his pathetic rubbish posts.

Rovenhawk in an earlier post made out as if the guy had been suspended full stop. I corrected him on this and he replied

He then goes on to claim that he was mearly quoting a Superintendant.

Sorry to be pedantic

True. Light bar = minus 10 MPH (possibly more) top speed.

However, there once was a Vauxhall Vectra that was much, much quicker than it should have been ...

Not what I said.

I'd expect it to go Removal of authorisation > Investigation (potentially could have been very brief if the vehicle is fitted with a data recorder) > Sanction/other further action if necessary.

There's still a potential for prosecution if the driver wasn't using any exemptions.

Have you read Rovenhawks other posts?

It's a deliberate ploy on his part to point score.

If it was a genuine mistake i wouldn't have bothered.

The thing is its every topic. Its not about misreading etc its about deliberately misquoting to back up a floored opinion.
