Mods - can we change the title of the thread please?

Maybe "Will I get fined in my SLS?"

Or maybe just "My SLS"?

As long as of course this is correct... OP?

OP was the camera a Gatso, Truvelo or Redspeed camera? Google pics of them if you don't know what I am talking about.

Only Truvelo takes photos of the front of the vehicle. Gatsos can sometimes go off and take a photo of the front of a vehicle, but prosecutions do not follow if this happens.

In addition, if it was a Gatso, was there one or two flashes?

Some confusion here. Sounds though that you were speeding so risk getting convicted unless you persuade CPS not in the public interest to prosecute. If taken to court, then you are looking to argue special reasons for non-endorsation. Win that and you licence is not endorsed and a good chance of no fine either. If you were in lane one and sped up, unlikely to win. If you were in lane 2 and sped up briefly, but no more than was necessary, then a far better chance of winning.

Either way, when you get the NIP/ s172 request tell them the full story from the outset and ask if they can investigate/confirm the van on a blues and twos run.

It was a Truvelo and it flashed only once.

Truvelos don't have a visible flash. If a camera flashes in your face, it's not a Truvelo and you won't be done for speeding

Sorry, but that is rubbish. Truvelo cameras have a very bright flash which is only slightly mitigated by the red filter.

'Its infra red and you cant see it' is ignorant pub nonsense that one wally made up and other wallys repeat.

Strewth. What is it with all those who can't work out what the OP was driving?
He's already told us in the first four words of this thread.

As far as I'm aware, there is no legal reason you should break the road traffic laws. This includes speeding, driving up pavements and jumping red lights. It seems ridiculous to me that if you're on the front row of some traffic lights, and an ambulance / firetruck / police vehicle came up behind you and couldn't pass without you creeping over the line, you should make them wait, and ONLY cross the line when the light is green. Despite the fact that their delay could literally be costing someone their life...

"An SLS"?
Or "The SLS"?

Look, nobody cares what you drive.
Your first post could have mentioned 'The Escort' or 'The MX5' and it would have gone exactly the same way. The car you were driving was irrelevant, but you chose to mention it; lots.
So people are teasing you.

Next week I'll say something silly and I'll get teased.

My advice; don't get on your high horse about it, don't start waving round your cars like some sort of status symbol or proof that you are better than other people and don't be dick.
Just take it in good humour.

Now you've got all that maybe you should concentrate all that hard work on something else. Like a sense of humour, or losing the chip?

Maybe?
