Dangerous driving?
Discussion
Ummm...
I'm assuming that despite how distracted OP may have been (and who hasn't - ever arrived somewhere and can't recall the previous 5 minutes of the journey?) they mounted the pavement only after seeing there were no pedestrians there.
So how exactly was it a dangerous act? Foolish, definitely, but not dangerous.

To be fair, the OP was vague enough to let people create their own mental image of the incident.
I had visions of him on the back wheel, snarling, with pedestrians being mowed down left right and centre. Having read his clarification, it would appear this was not the case your honour.

If you were wearing a helmet, they'd be very hard pushed to prove it was you- plates aside, which have been known to be cloned/stolen. A dirty big thread on the interwebs is a slight giveaway, mind. It's more driving without due care and attention... if you genuinely didn't realise it was a pedestrian walkway..! That is a bit odd, but I s'pose we've all been there..??

This morning I was going over a short toll bridge on the motorbike, and rode round the barriers and down the bridge on the pedestrian pathway. Why I did this I can't say.
Does riding around the barriers avoid having to pay the toll? That'd be my reason if I had two less wheels.Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
