what should they do and how do they go about it?
Buy PAYG phone if anonymity is important.

On seeing tanked-up boss getting into driver's seat, ring 999 and give full details.

Law and Order has already been a matter of co-operation between the police and the public to prevent crime and to catch criminals.

At present the Police don't have the manpower to do preventative Policing as much as they would like so rely on us, the public even more.
We are part of the Policing effort.

If a friend of yours was attacked or your mum's house was being burgled, would you want a witness to contact the Police or not?
I honestly got to the point where I became indifferent over that sort of thing.

Partly because, even when they have witnesses, they do bugger all anyhow.

You complain about people prejudging you and yet you prejudge all police officers in the country based on your limited experience. Out of 120,000 plus officers, how many have you met?

The reality is I'd call the police but I wouldn't give my details and I wouldn't hang around to be a witness.

You are effectively penalising the whole of the UK for what a Policeman or some Policemen did to you then.
You're not getting back at them, you're taking it out on everyone else.

Slightly dramatic...it's not like I witness murders daily or anything.....

I'm having a dash cam fitted soon so maybe I'll be in possession of evidence of crap driving......

Actually that's a very big problem on this forum I find....many of the members here are in a considerably older age group than myself. And thus young people like me get judged and dismissed and stereotyped rather too easily. It's happening in another thread right now actually.

Please, don't do it. Not all young drivers are inexperienced dheads.
Actually, after reading your comments on here there's no way I would tar you with the "inexperienced dhead" brush, you seem quite experienced to me.

This sounds very much like you are pre-judging me on the basis that I am young.

I understand (correct me if I am wrong) that you are a police officer of some sort yourself.

If so, your attitude is hardly doing much to alter my opinion.
Exactly... If he is a real policeman, I can only imagine that the majority of the people he deals with on a daily basis will come away having negative impressions of the police.

You will do well to get them to look at any video you have.

I recently filmed an attack on me and got great footage which show at the least, very dangerous driving and a section 4 offence. I also would go to the police as a last resort and with this incident, I may as well have 'reported' it to some dodgy blokes to sort out for me mano a mano.

At every stage where I have reported this incident to the police, I have been threatened with arrest. The PC only sat up and did his job when I threatened to write to his superiors and even at that, its been well over 2 weeks since I provided them with HD footage of the incident and a detailed statement and fcensoredk all's been done. This person I reported to the police is known by multiple names, is reported to the police at least once a month and keeps a car with a cloned plate and the police still refuse to act.

No wonder he is bold enough to threaten people with metal bars even when he knows he is being recorded. I guess its easier to go after law abiding citizens who mistakenly fall foul of the law than a career criminal.

Just yesterday I had afternoon tea with the Queen and as I left the palace, I saved an MP from a deranged lunatic with a samurai sword.

Tis the interwebs afterall. We can all be superheroes and policemen.

I inadvertently shopped someone for drink driving, they couldn't prove he was driving but he was still received a short ban for drunk in charge. All dealt with quickly and he was convicted on the strength of my written testimony.

All in all a very positive experience for all concerned bar the scrote hehe

I can sympathise. Where I live, most people can tell you who runs the prostitution and who controls the drugs. Somehow it seems to escape the Police though, something that has always worried me. I can compare their inaction on these serious issues to their enthusiasm to tackle minor infringements. Two that come to mind are an incorrectly positioned registration plate and parking in a loading bay. In my case, providing the Police with the information that I and so many others possess would appear to be a very risky step indeed, but not as risky as kicking up a fuss about why nothing is done.

Im not sure what I'm more amazed at, the fact you had tea with the Queen or you managed to go a day without finding some odd scenario to report to the police but either way well done and good for you.

She's my boss as it goes, next time you see her tell her I say hello.
