Any serving CID officers?

This might sound a little strange but i am trying to write a book at the moment, i have just started it and need some guidance on police procedure from a serving CID officer.
I am more than willing to discuss the subject matter with anyone willing to help, if they could PM me i would be immensely greatful.
The book might not go anywhere, it may not even get written but if i don't try i will never know.
