It's the North West Police Benevolent Fund AGM on 6 June.

Get one of them by then and I'll donate £10 plus the gift aid. Get them both and I'll donate £30 plus the gift aid. I'm not sure such a carrot is legal or moral, but you've seen the evidence. It's a free lead, they've informed on themselves. I'll count letters telling them to sort out their driving and details of it in the press as a pull for both bets.

So I reported a dangerous driver who nearly killed a pedestrian to RoadSafe and got the following email:




Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx,

RE: BMW - YC09UJP

Thank you for your submission to Roadsafe London concerning the incident below.

You provided details of the vehicle concerned and all appropriate checks have now been undertaken.

From the information you have provided, but without further corroboration, police will not be taking any further action however a letter of warning has been issued to the driver concerned. The letter contains the link to your footage along with reference to Highway Code Rules relevant to the incident (guidance only, not enforceable), along with the equivalent sections/regulations of Road Traffic enactments (enforceable) and their penalties upon conviction.

We appreciate this may not be the outcome you were hoping for however would ask that this does not deter you from making further reports to Roadsafe London.

Please be advised, Roadsafe London is not an alternative means of reporting road traffic offences or breaches of Highway Code Rules with a view to prosecution.

What do you guys think? Should RoadSafe be pressing for a police related charge? What do you think of the driver and his/hers actions?

Know the road quite well. It goes past Pennine Trialsport Up to the M62 at Saddleworth Moor and down to Halifax. It's the A672 and he's traveling from Rishworth up to the M62. I travel at the limit on the road and He does not look to be traveling at the speed he is calling. The Overtakes are dodgy and he will hopefully only take himself out when he goes.
