I think the best thing to do is paint yourself blue, cover the car in cheap scotch and set fire to it while drinking irn bru, eating haggis and deep fried Mars bars.
Once the car has been removed by the insurance company you can run down the road in a kilt shouting Freeeeedom while waving a claymore and/or your willy.

I think that covers most points of Scottish law that I'm aware of.
