''Harris, 84, denies sexually harassing four victims, one as young as seven or eight, between 1968 and 1986.''

Trial expected to last about two months.

Somehow, I find this one the most depressing of them all.

He clearly hasn't made as many enemies as the likes of Max Clifford.

I'm expecting a not guilty verdict on this one, haven't seen any evidence (not sure any is in the public domain) but I don't see it.

Yep, me too.

Two month trial though, don't really know about these things, but that seems a long time.

Really hope these allegations prove to be nothing and he gets not guilty.

I really admired him when I was little and met him twice at book signings when he did the cartoon club.

I half expected Clifford and tbh Jim Davidson to have done something but Davidson was proved innocent but Clifford seems to have been a right dirty sod.

Hopefully Rolf will be found innocent and can go back to enjoying his life.

I really hope its not like DLT where he will be left almost penniless.

If he is innocent I hope he is found so, if guilty I will be happy to see him go down for it.

I certainly have no preconceptions regarding him, he didn't appear to be a sleazy character, but who knows what goes on in anyones private life.

This.

It would be interesting to know why P-Jay is expecting a not guilty verdict; sure he comes across as lovely easy going and friendly guy however you just don't know.

No, sadly not. Sometimes with the likes of Clifford you can form a general opinion of guilt, based on actions, but then the wrongful arrest of a certain landlord springs to mind and you begin to doubt the efficacy of such assumptions.

My mate, who's a police officer, says he never fails to be staggered by the relative, superficial normality of many households where severe domestic violence has taken place. I guess abuse is no different.

My perception is entirely based on his on-screen persona - I've never even met him, but I am a big fan of his. - I guess if I was looking for 'evidence' it would be that he's famous enough to have his history well known, yet not nearly enough to ever convince some teenage wannabe he could make them a star, nor has he ever had the sort of career that would make you think he'd have underage groupies sneaking into his dressing room. He's been married to the same Women since the 50's and seems to live a quiet life, in fact prior to Yew Tree the most controversial thing he ever did was recording a version of Stairway to Heaven.

Admittedly none of that amounts to much, but I just can't 'see' it, and unless he's found guilty I can't help but thinking all this has achieved is to rob us of a few years at the end of his career given his age.

Really?

With indecent assault on different people and indecent images on his computer I would find it rather odd if nothing comes of this one. It is not like the DLT case really.

I think the trial is focused on the indecent assaults ....he has yet to be asked to plead on the images which has been handled separately I think this is because he will plead guilty to that aspect

Maybe he is a lovely easy going and friendly guy. That still doesn't mean he couldn't be guilty of the alleged crimes though.

Funny how we still struggle to not categorise people simply into "good" and "bad" isn't it?

As soon as you make your complaint to the police?
