10/6 for effort on the response.
Don’t you sit in judgment on me, (how can you get 10 out of 6?)scoring me and all that.

If it wasn’t for my generation you would be speaking Bavarian, driving a Volksvaragen, wearing leather shorts, eating rotten cabbage and have no word for fluffy.

So don’t take the pss out of me sunshine, Your lucky I am Cage fighting this week otherwise well just otherwise I would take your Cillit Bang and well just and

(I feel dizzy what’s happening? now I have wet myself it’s all your fault, that fat woman has stolen my slipper this homes going to rack and ruin. Its buttered scones to night yum yum.
I read the 10/6 as ten shillings and sixpence in old money! So either you're not really that old or I am stupid, probably both TBH

We have few cold calls in Germany as these are against the law, however some foreign ones get through. I keep a VERY shrill footie whistle near the phone. Use once and the bu99ers don't call again!

I was looking at one of these but worried about calls from our overseas friends getting through?

My wife and I have found a reasonable solution in the fight against unsolicited phone calls by cutting the number of rings down to two (gives us an audio warning) before the answer machine kicks in. Our greeting states “Hi, if we are in and we can get to the phone we will pick up. Otherwise leave a message”.

Our family and friends know about this and if we hear a recognisable voice we pick up.

It is surprising how many cold callers hang up before the message completes. Those that do wait generally don’t speak and in most cases 1471 confirms that the caller withheld their number. Some pre-recorded message calls get recorded on the answer machine but they are easily ignored. This has greatly reduced the number of nuisance calls.
This is what we do. I never, EVER, answer the phone. I let the machine do it. People we know know to speak...and we'll pick up. Cold callers just hang up.

I am sympathetic to cold callers - they are just trying to earn a living - but this doesn't mean I won't tell them that I'm not interested...bye....etc.

You can set it up so that overseas callers are prompted to enter an access code. The options are basically;

Reject blacklisted number
Accept whitelisted number

Otherwise, depending on the kind of number:

Ask them to state their name and wait to be put through
Ask them to press a particular key then give their name (gets rid of recorded messages)
Ask them to enter the access code you've previously given them
Tell them to fk off

Annoying bds, that's who they are. Their recorded message starts immediately and appears to come from UK local numbers. It triggers the TrueCall by appearing to give a name (it just keeps talking) and then ends up leaving a message (it just keeps talking). I've explicitly blocked the number they keep calling me from, but if I find that other numbers are getting through I will change the Truecall setup so that all callers have to listen to the message and press a key before they can interact with the machine. I currently only use that setup for international, withheld or 08* numbers.

The only decent call blocker is a truecall that will also record the calls! PH discount if needed - other sellers are available.

The change took place 1 month after the Mirror article.
Looks to me like he has been parachuted in to deflect attention.

I got a junk call from Natwest doing a survey, automated thingy, so I just pressed the random keypad generator for a few mins as I was bored.

A week later I get a call from my local Natwest branch manager about the recent survey where I was very dissatisfied with the service from the team behind the counter hehe I did explain that junk calls were not welcome!

These are two of the players in that market.
Not very far away from each other either.

His company has 'form' for intrusive cold calling.

The area code of your calls is different though, so could be anyone.
It's another lucrative area like motor CMCs used to be.
It attracts the usual complement of chancers and sharks.
