Why did you modify your Corsa to have a week engine and crap clutch?

I didn't modify it to have a weak engine and clutch, that's the result of old diesel technology (pre ECU) and 185k miles on the original clutch.
The mods were cosmetic and suspension related.

Good to know you're more interested in that, than false accusations and lies from the police though.

How do I know that this isn't the case?

You don't, you're free to believe what you want.
If you've never encountered a dishonest police officer though i can understand your scepticism but sadly i've encountered quite a few.

I've never met any that would bother doing those things, but I'm sure they're out there and you appear to have been unlucky. They're not all like that.
I have however met many people with an ace to grind because they don't like being told they can't do something.

I don't for a second think they're all like that. I've met a lot of decent ones in my time as well.
It's just the bad ones leave you feeling a bit vulnerable to certain things.
I wouldn't antagonise them like the guy in the video does, but i can understand people wanting to take video for their own protection as well.

One of my friends was driving about in a modded car as well a few years before my run ins. The police pulled him over (in uniform and on foot patrol)
They asked him if he had been racing around. He said no.
He put his hand on the bonnet and claimed "i think you have, the engine is really hot and i can feel the heat through the bonnet"
He changed his tune when he was told MR2s don't have an engine up front.

don't you think it was fairly obviously vauxhall and wear and tear that made it that way?
i'm pretty sure the latest crazy isn't to take good engines, detune them and ruin the clutch

Possibly because you come to the attention of the Police as being a smart arse like the bloke in the video?

Or maybe just simply profiling e.g nice car in rundown neighbourhood, rundown car in nice neighbourhood, DWB e.t.c.

The chap in the videos below is a well known artist on the British hip hop/grime scene. Well spoken chap with a degree and doing good for himself, doesnt drink or smoke and has never been in trouble with the police/law. For some reason he is getting stopped 3 times a month by police forces in different areas.

Profiling? Maybe not. It could be that purple t shirt in a black car.

What a coincidence! Different police officers in different police forces in different areas just all happen to consistently "make-up" moving traffic offences just to stop him rolleyes

Yes. I only watched a few seconds, but he comes across as every inch the well spoken, reasonable type. rolleyes

(He's not that 'mate' of yours that keeps getting into awkward situations is he?)

Stuart Lawrence stopped and searched 25 times. No moving traffic offences just random stop and search. A great coincedence

Jamie Adenuga (JME) stopped 3 times every month. No moving traffic offences, just random reasons like ''you are in a powerful car which is trageted by robbers'' or ''there are a lot of burglaries in this area''

I watched them all. I wouldn't say well spoken, but he seems reasonable. It must be pretty tedious getting stopped that often and it doesn't seem a particularly productive use of time to keep stopping him if for no other reason than he expects it.

I can think of many words for him. Reasonable certainly isn't one of them.

The sooner body worn cameras are rolled out to everybody the better. Then all these "Who me, I didn't do anything. You're making it up", will be shown up for the lying trolls they are.

But as someone said above, I imagine they couldn't be bothered with the hassle for relatively minor offences.
What? Doesn't this sum up the main reason most of the British public hate the police? Isn't this all they ever do?

You are causing me distress and alarm. I’m going to make a citizens arrest on you, if you resist arrest then I will use reasonable force
Quite disappointed not to see him try that laugh

If he had done a handbrake turn then shirley he'd have been out of the car and charged with dangerous driving, especially after giving all that attitude?
