Owners details on record
Discussion
Why doesn't the DVLA have a V5 type system to record who actually owns a vehicle? Will save trouble with Mr 'Honest officer I only just bought it' and all the faff with 'Oh a V5 doesn't actually show who owns the car'
Seems to be a simple change that would be fairly easy to implement; so why haven't they done it?

It does, does it...?Here, I've given you one of my cars. It's yours. You own it now. Sorry, what was that, Swansea? I missed that...?
In countries where the title actually records legal ownership, selling a car involves visits to notary publics and the like, so it can be legally witnessed.
