FWIW, my lifts, engine hoist and compressor are all inspected twice a year. It's a stipulation of my insurers, who organise it and add the cost to my premium.

EDIT - the cost isn't prohibitive, and I'm glad they do it.

We think we've got him on his usage of the unit, it's listed as B1 and B8 Light industrial and storage, I don't think what he does is classed as that, the Landlord should act, but isn't.
That aside thanks for everyones posts, especially the Youtube clip, all good stuff.

I would be more concerned about the health risks caused by the neighbouring unit, obviously not ventilated or filtered properly if at all.How many in the nearby units have headaches and blocked up nasal passages by the end of the day ?
