I have no advice for you other than your friend keeps his nose squeaky clean until at least everything is settled.
My divorce has been going on for a year now but at least I have the house and children (Im a man - as Frank Spencer would say)
Other than no longer being with my wife the most upsetting thing was the totally false accusations of her being in fear of her life. She has since admitted it wasn't true but I can only imagine it was what she was advised to do. My solicitor, a female, told me its one of the very few if not only reasons to get a divorce without having to prove it.
When I spoke to my ex about this and pointed out she had signed a legal paper stating this lie she insisted that as soon as she saw it in the letter she went back and asked them to remove it! Of course.
One of her other little tricks was to call my mobile and try and start an argument - her sister who she now lives with had previously asked my son if he knew how to record phone calls.
My point regarding domestic violence accusations comes from, during the early weeks of the divorce proceedings, I had to present a form to the court. As soon as I entered the foyer/entrance part there were two women one of which was loudly proclaiming to her friend how she was going to accuse her other half basically to spite him.
I then stood in line behind an Asian lady with a buggy and young child who explained to the 2 ladies behind the glass her situation (her husband wanted her out of the house)- no privacy everyone could hear. To my amazement she was advised to accuse him of domestic violence as he would not be able to disprove it.
This whole situation has left a very bad taste in my mouth and to some extent has changed my view on some women.

Hire a couple of guys to go round (hewould ofcourse know nothing about it...) knock on the door. Drag her out side, close the door behind.

Once she wanders off, your friend then goes in, changes locks etc and take back whats rightfully his. He shouldnt have to pay a penny to her and owes her nothing!

If they don't get it from officialdom they'll get it from the internet, coffee mornings or the supermarket queue.
