I have just noticed that the DOB is incorrect on my friends driving licence. He has had it for years and never noticed as its loosely encrypted in the driver number. It's a year out.

Plod has never noticed whenever he has had various speeding tickets etc so is worth changing it?

He wouldn't normally hesitate to enquire officially, but it's the DVLA he will have to deal with. He is concerned that they might revoke his licence whilst it gets sorted or something equally inconvenient such as losing various entitlements.

First of all, mega congrats for posting the first driving licence thread in the last 700 years that spells licence correctly.

Secondly, it is customary to call on the trusty "friend" when the thread is about committing gross moral turpitude with trainee Nuns, but why "your friend" for this one?

I would be inclined to leave things as they are.

I was going to mention the trainee Nuns later actually. That was one of the categories on my his licence I he particularly didn't want to lose.

Doesn't it have the date of birth listed separately as well? I know mine does but it's a relatively recent photo card licence renewed 3 years ago.
