do you have to be to leave your engine running and keys in ?? Yet again it's happened but no kid/baby left in the car this time

Admittedly thieving scrotes should keep their dirty hands off other people's stuff

She looked pretty lucky to come out as unscathed as she did.

Numb ? Perhaps ...

Definately ferocious, tenacious, courageous and perhaps a little daft.

Perhaps silly but people do this thousands of times a day without issue. Most people are decent enough and she wasn't far from the car.

She was very lucky she didn't come off worse. I felt sick watching the car reverse with her 'trapped' by the door like that. Really she was very close to being taken under the wheels there. I think she realised it herself as soon as he was gone.

Hopefully they manage to get the scrote.

many would say she was a bit daft but I think she was a very brave woman, not many people would fight back like that, especially after the car started moving.
Looking at it I believe the scrote had a massive 'what am I doing' moment when she nearly went under the wheels, otherwise why would he stop. He though better of it and left. Hopefully they catch him for sure, but in the meantime lets hope this has panicked him into not trying anything like that again.

I see no one stopped to help, if you realised something was going on would any of you jump in?

They do but it can go so wrong,

Do you think that was a preplanned robbery ?

It looked totally avoidable by the simple act of not being 'lazy' and removing the keys.

Looks like the BIB have wasted an awful lot of money on crime prevention when people won't help themselves.

12 seconds between her moving from the car to the scrote leaping in. Looks more like the criminal justice system has wasted billions on failing to stop criminals.

Mind you, it is much easier to blame the victimsfrown

It'll be a chancer, we've had it a few times over the years at work where people have just walked in the yard and jumped in a vehicle with the keys left in. It's been anything from a 32 ton truck to drivers cars and one mechanic lost the works van and all his tools after he left it warming up before he went home.

I find it amazing the level of caution you have to exist with in the UK. I grew up there and it seemed normal. It took me years to adjust to my present country. Due to the extremes in temperature its normal to leave your car running if you are going into a shop for less than 10 minutes. And, the neighborhood I live in is still being developed. The builders leave all their tools unsecured for the weekend.

Where is this utopia? 20 miles away from NYC. There's the English perception of the U.S. and there is reality.

There's no point arguing that criminal acts shouldn't happen because they do. No argument in saying people shouldn't have to lock their doors because they do.

There's what should happen, and what does happen, and the second one is the most important.

Dunno

Problem was she was in a very vulnerable state.

If I was to do anythign it would probably be to pull her back - which do doubt I would not be thanked for.

Sorry, but you're out the car you don't leave the engine running and you have the keys with you. Period. End of story. If you don't and do this and some scrote nicks it tough sh"t!

She has also committed an offence herself. That would really put the icing on her cake wouldn't it.

True. Although it might actually teach her a lesson. Not sure I know of too many that tight though.
