Tyres stabbed.

Sigh.
Anyhoo, the MX-5 now has a pair of new Kumhos, to replace the once which were only three weeks old anyway. Bumped into some police officers and told them all about my tale of woe, just in case this sort of thing becomes a recurring theme. Twenty years ago the church was a mess because of constant vandalism. Stones and bricks and worse through the windows every week. Even had some kids riding a motorbike up and down the aisle once. I might email the local free paper and ask them if they want a scoop about a double-stabbing hate crime.
See you all at the Goodwood Revival next year, I'll be the one in the dog collar.

Feel sorry for the OP, he was only trying to Ventus his frustrations and probably never wanted this thread to Runway into a big Event.
I would recommend ordering new tyres online to Sava yourself some money, but if you don't want to do that I'm sure your local garage will be Ecsta-tic to see you.

Of course sidewall damage can be repaired, depending on how bad it is, which we never heard. So the supposedly serious advice given in the earlier posts was no more use than most of the thread.
Never mind.....

Have you read the British Standard covering tyre repairs? You might be surprised how big an injury in the side wall is repairable.
...and whilst I don't do many these days, there was a time when I repaired sidewall injuries at least once a week.
Why don't you stick to posting on things you have a clue about, yeah? If you can find anything, yeah?
I know a little about sidewalls actually chap.
I know I wouldn't let a member of my family drive with a repair in one. I know I wouldn't recommend to someone one on a forum to even consider it, and I know that people come here as a source of reliable reference info so I don't think your post is very well judged.
Yeah.
