What was the police's stance on this when told?

Anyway, parking the puns for a second...

OP, you MUST have an inkling, you simply must.

You are being targeted! Who have you upset lately?

This crim sounds like a slick operator. No wonder the OP is part worn. Time for Plod to get a grip on the case.

Looks like BIB have left the OP to shoulder the responsibility for tracking the perp down...

To be fair the police are pretty much run flat out at the moment. There is unlikely to be the spare capacity to make extensive enquiries.

someone with an inflated opinion of himself?

living on skid row, trying to spin a story, hoping to burnout before he fades away?

At least the drivers found out before they set off on their journey. The last thing you would want would be to be too-LingLong the road and have a sudden deflation...

It's happened again. All four tyres on our family car, a VW Caravelle done last night while we were in the evening service.

All the other vehicles in the car park were left alone. I've informed the police.
Blimey! You'd almost be forgiven for thinking someone up there doesn't like you.

Well the level of sympathy for the OP is clearly in the minus scale frown

Come on guys, it would't be a laughing matter if you had to shell out on 4 new tyres for the second time in as many months.

Get a grip!

I always thought a car tyre would explode in your face if you tried to stab it?

HGV tyres maybe, but not car tyres.

Several people told me after the evening service that they heard the pops and sound of rapid deflation but no one saw anybody.

The Police are coming round to interview me tomorrow night. They see this as malicious damage and also harassment now.

There are two prime candidates as far as I see. One is a slightly bonkers lady from the sub-continent. She knows me through the church and has been sending me rather a lot of odd emails recently, perhaps she has become obsessed. She would normally be in church but was not on the two evenings in question.

The other is a neighbour with an anger problem who thinks everyone should to obey his every command. He is a senior officer in one of the services and has fallen out with most people in our street, almost certainly un-diagnosed autistic spectrum. We had to get the police to go and visit him a year or two back but he has kept away from us for a while now. Perhaps his seething anger has boiled over again and he has found a new outlet for it. He would know which were my vehicles and the church is not far from where we live.

Of course it may just be the local mobile tyre-fitters trying to increase turnover.

Whoosh!

The OP has had advice, sympathy and good humour (piss-taking) in equal measure and doesn't seem the sort to be as easily offended as you are on his behalf.

It is recommended that your new tyres have a pressure of 30Bar FYI.
If the culprit(s) is/are caught, then perhaps this would be an appropriate punishment?
