Groan..... don't give up the day job RH.

Re money being spent on cameras, I can't even get new uniform to replace old worn out stuff so a cameras never going to happen. Shame as I'm very pro for body cameras for all cops so the public can see what actually goes on and bullst malicious complaints get filed at source.

The camera tech and data handling is no way there yet as outlined by Dibble.

We have tons of these sorts of things on test all the time (for last couple of years in fact) as part of a big project with a company who are happily throwing the sort of funding at it a police force would be delighted with......and it has endless problems - which are again all the ones outlined by dibble

battery life and data storage (and then the VERY LARGE task of managing that data) are mainly it, followed by reliability

There is nothing available which will record for long enough, in a good enough quality, to properly cover the issue; it just isn't possible. yet.
