I'll clarify my original point- it is not within your powers to decide whether they might be guilty.

If you have found no evidence then the person is not guilty, regardless of any wish to the contrary by you. You don't even have a prima facie case to put to trial, much less a conviction. You are therefore incorrect to state that they might not be innocent. They are innocent until found otherwise by a court.
It pains me to say this... But you are not right. The police probably have a 15% success rate of getting a "positive disposal" from me after arrest. However I was only truly innocent once.

It's all a gamble. Play the game and sometimes you will get away with it. They arrest and sometimes it works out. However they won't get the evidence every time. Sometimes they are unlucky and sometimes I was better than them - threw a mobile in a fire once when they were banging on the door. If they had gotten that phone I'd have done years in prison. Instead I was released without charge.

Also usually well hidden things don't get found in cars and houses when they are searching... On TV you will see that they always find what they want. But in reality you have above even chances of them not finding it.

It's a presumption based on your manner.

Stuff.
Fair enough that you did what you say, but my point was that Mk3 & others may not presume your lack of innocence just because it suits them.

One could make a number of assumptions based on your manner.

You always say that. Why do you do so?

Incidentally, I saw a loaf of bread & thought of you before realising that it actually said 'thick cut'.
