Detached house is the only way to go, best thing I ever did, broke my heart to move out of SW London but forgot about it within a few days. Yes it's a 2 mile car drive to Waitrose now rather than a 10 min walk but boy am I sleeping better

It's highly tempting to flick the isolator switch for their flat and cut through the meter tails, but that would be criminal damage and it would result in me being bent over by the electricity company - I can still fantasise though.
