Also on the 25th March you said that the insurance company would also give you compensation. So it looks like you have not received that yet or you letter we are all waiting to see.

I have a multi car policy with Admiral, excellent company with good prices but guess with policyholders like you can drive the best trained handler to dispair.
The compensation came with the payment, I had that confirmed when I called this week.

I guess by people like me you mean people with a clue who won't be fobbed off by misinformation. Yep that's me.

There is a reason why Admiral group are so cheap because they cut costs at every turn. I've made probably 50+ phone calls to them over the past few months, continuously chasing to get updates. I was told the cheque was in the post, a week later no cheque. I was told a confirmation letter was coming. Still no letter.

I called them today to get the status of the liability on the second accident and they last contacted the 3rd party in January, over 3 months ago and nothing since. The guy in the arbitration team was sheepish and profusely apologetic but again it's the same old story. I presume they are massively understaffed and overworked.

Good riddance I say. As long as there are enough mugs out there to keep them in profit I don't suppose anything will change.

So - you caved and accepted even less than they originally promised (£8500) or the reduced figure (£7500) without any compensation ? Doesn't sound like something you would do.
I already said, there were two individual repair quotes which made up the circa £8500 total. The insurance company wanted to merge the quotes together as there were would be significant labor cost savings when undertaking both repairs at once. Eg. having to prep the car for spraying only once.

The revised total repair cost figure was about £1000 less. Considering how much labour was on these quotes I figured that was a fair compromise.

I think it would be unreasonable for me to claim that I need to treat both repairs separately and therefore receive the full invoice amount on both.

Despite the fact they said they'd send him a cheque, and that they'd sent him a cheque, for a certain figure they then bacs a completely random figure into his bank account?
This in relation to two third party insurers paying for two separate lots of damage to his car? Neither of whom he has any connection with club together and pay his insurers monies which they transfer to him?
Yawn. If you can't be bothered to even read the thread properly then why even bother posting.

I said on the 25th:

I was informed that a cheque for £7500 is in the post today. This includes money for a geometry check on the car which came as reccomendation from the engineer.
The figure is slightly reduced as the labour on the two incidents was combined and reduced accordingly.
That is why the figure was reduced because of the combined labour saving on the bodywork. Prepping a car for a spray takes a lot of time, doing it twice takes twice as long. I accepted that as it was a reasonable thing to do.

They promised a cheque, they broke the promise, I eventually get a BAC's payment. Still waiting on a final letter from insurance company. (chased earlier this week)

I don't know which is weirder tbh, the idea that Dogzilla is making this up, or the amount of time some of you seem to devote to trying to find out if he is or not.
Ha that made me laugh mate. I really hope this letter turns up soon. I'm dying to hear what the wannabe CSI forensics experts say. No doubt they will pick it apart word for word and then circle back to a post I made in 2012 to somehow prove that I've been lying all along.

What company did you deal with for your claim.
Compensation was included in the payment they alerady sent me.
