tyre load rating

Hi,

I hope this is the correct place to ask, did not think GG is ?

My car has a tyre load rating of 112, if I fit set of tyres with a load rate of 114 is that legal ?

I am sure if I put 110 load rated on that is not legal.

Load ratings are minimum. If you needed the exact number getting tyres would be an awful lot more hassle

I should say the load requirements are a minimum the ratings on the tyre are the maximum

Manufacturer spec load and speed are generally the minimum legal requirement.
