I was thinking the same, it's not like the car needed it.

It's not like the cars going to be on the road much in any case, is it? If at all.

Hardly the same as sticking one on a 911 that to anyone with a basic knowledge of the car (and no one else will be interested at all) is just an old 996, the one with the dodgy engine.........

If he just wanted a show plate he could have got one made up for £20

He obviously has plenty of money and as he was prepared to buy it for a million in his eyes got it for half price.

The Ferrari 250 car is probably worth say 5 million plus so when a rich guy comes to buy it he will say you can have the number as well for only a million extra,and the purchaser thinks he has a bargain.
