By an anpr camera in Taunton on mount way road. Yes I drove down it so fair enought however, two things, one the side we entered by the traffic lights, it didn't display any bus lane warnings until the other end where there were signs. The other issue is that they have changed the White writing on the road from buses only to buses and bikes (wtf) and the turning area right here. My point is if you don't know the road the retarded council ran fk wits (for st for brains) have got you!
wkers.
I'm thinking if contesting it for these two reasons. What do you think?
Oh and the profits they make, maybe they should invest it in their drivers, as they think their driving articulated lorries for fick sake, keep on your side, fat fk paedos.

Interesting rant, once you can decipher it in full getmecoat

From "mistakenly" driving down a clearly marked bus lane, to marking all articulated lorry drivers in the local area as overweight paedophiles confused

I might be old fashioned, but both "Buses Only" and "Buses & Bikes Only" still means "No Cars".

I'm no fan of bus lanes, nor the rigorous enforcement of them, but I've never been caught in one because I've never driven in one when I shouldn't. I drive extensively in towns I'm not familiar with, but I pay 100% attention to the road.

I stand to be corrected but I think OP is accusing BUS DRIVERS as "wannabe articulated lorry driving fat fk paedos".

Bit harsh IMO.

If you think the signage is inadequate why not use the services of Pepipoo ?

And put some pictures on here for us!

That's racist, innit? I've reported this thread to the Daily Mail. They'll be contacting you, shortly.

Which way did you go into mountway road? coming out of taunton past the college or from silk mills past the hospice?

If the latter it's signed and there's a turning area so you can avoid the bus lane.

How long did it take to receive the fine? I went through the same one while delivering in Taunton 3 weeks ago I was hoping it was inactive. I couldn't be arsed to drive around sat nav had taken me that way to get to mountway lane. When coming back the other way you notice the vast amount of warning signs and the camera which is a bugger!

Yes, but the site covers other infractions, e.g. parking, and, yes, bus lanes.

OP don't bother just pay through the nose. I say that as someone who recently had to pay 65 quid myself on an errant bus lane infringement. It's really not worth the aggravation.

I had the same(ish) recently

7:30pm on a Sunday. Clearly I was in the bus lane, but given the time/day I disputed it

Apparently the lane in question has been designated '24 hours' ...despite, well, not being 24 hours In use

They make the fines low enough people will just pay them and move on

sorry I don't know how to post pictures.

this is a great article on just how stupid people can be: person done for going in a bus lane: but just look at the markings and signage.

really if you can't spot these: yr probably not bright enough to be driving a car nor safe enough to spot danger on the road.

I'd also suggest to the OP that he seems too angry to win any case, face to face with the Council.

I would suggest that by stating tet have changed the wording on the lane, you have been there before and knew it was a bus lane. Surely there's nothing to contest?

You made a mistake, OP, clearly you must never drive again. PHers never make mistakes, ever. 100% concentration, 100% of the time.

And of course if the signs are not there on entry you do not know when the lane operates. Persoanlly I hate the Ones going past the University and up to Hyde park Corner in Leeds. They only operate in the evening between 4 and 7, (could be 6.30) but whatever time of day outside that I'm the only one using them.
