Got any proof? Even the primary motoring solicitor on here has likened a prosecution for 34mph in a 30 to Bigfoot in terms of it being real.
To be fair my sister in law got pinched by Warwickshire a few years ago for 34 in a 30. Gatso got her but she went on the course and forgot about it.

I cant prove it as I don't have my brothers wife's 4 year old paperwork but I can assure you it happened hehe

I'm sorry but this 'got a ticket for 34mph' sounds ridiculous to me.

The only time I have ever been caught speeding was in a Caddy Van doing 51 in a 40, 28% over the limit and the officer even said that he was debating wether to just tell me to slow down or give me 3 points as I "wasn't really going THAT fast according to him". I got 3 points as I don't think speed awareness courses existed in 1998?

If it was me, I would have absolutely no hesitation in taking a photo of the ticket using my phone and then spending about 60 seconds painting out the personal details before posting it up. Even if my girlfriend/wife declined to go public with it I would still blank out the info and post the ticket as a matter of principle at being called a liar.

Posting the ticket hurts no one at all, but I'm afraid refusal just makes you look worse than Welshbeef, at least he admitted to making it up.

I think that your wife did genuinely get a speeding ticket which you are really annoyed about, but the speed was a bit higher than 34mph, but you felt the need to exaggerate the story in order to get some sympathy or to give your tale a bit of impact?

How do you know? She told you it was 34mph, but it could've been any speed over that up to the SAC threshold.

I seriously wonder if I'm some sort of weird anomaly. I've been caught three times at 63 in a 30 (Archway Road dual carriageway bit before anyone has a coronary) when I was a kid in the early 90s, and 92 and 97.3 on the motorway. I'm not ashamed of the two later ones and I'm not pretending they were 78mph or some similarly daft low speed. The last one was actually 127.3 at peak, but I spotted the unmarked car and anchored on. Too late for being nicked though.

Who me said:
makes sense ,as there's more chance of their( usually ,PCSO'S) time being more profitable.
The PSCOs who have no power to formally act on excess speed, you mean? If you want to push the irrational and illogical "it's for revenue" argument, then having it helps not to have a flawed foundation.

Tickets for 34 in a 30 appear to be mythical, but there are a few images of NIPs for 35 in a 30 floating about the Internet.

Quite genuinely I saw several little green men returning to their flying saucer which then took off without visible means of propulsion. Quite honestly, if I had any proof I would happily post it.
Why be an arse to me? I'm not supporting the OP in any other way but to say that I also had to take a speed awreness course for 34 in a 30. I've no reason to lie on here and it's hardly surprising that I have no evidence as the offence was 9 months ago.

Anyway I'll bow out. I wasn't trying to get involved anyway and I couldn't give a s*** if anyone believes me smile

My opinion & experience is,

fixed cameras always at least = 10%+2.

Mobile cameras & hand held = don't be so sure.

I have no proof apart from my experience.

Then she must've been a right stroppy cow, as I doubt you or your brother would do anyone for 34mph unless they spectacularly failed the attitude test. Are you sure he isn't saying it to save face after she got caught at a higher speed? I still don't believe that people get done for 34 in a 30.

She can be quite stroppy but even she would struggle to fall out with a gatso whilst passing it at 34 mph.

And having known my brother for 34 years he wouldn't be saving face. Warwiskshire are fkers for it.

'i'm amazed' is better for marital and family relations than 'fking liar'

Are you some sort of moron?

What do you want me to say? That you must be right and that my family members are all liars?

It's equally boring for us. Three people have claimed to have been done, or know someone close who has, for speeding at 34mph in a 30 limit, yet none of them can prove it. When asked to do this, they spit their dummies, or come up woth the most tenuous reasons not to.

I don't believe anyone has ever been prosecuted for 34mph in a 30 limit and will reiterate my offer to pay for their SAC or FPN and any increase in insurance premium for the next 5 years. They need to show me the ticket personally to qualify.
