Never said he wasn't. You've admitted to an undertake earlier, which whilst technically not illegal is still a move that's likely to pique plod's interest too. Chasing after the Bentley is also a no no.
Fair point, well made, and quite civilly put. Now why can't you continue in this manner, rather than making wild assumptions and not being civil?

Forgive me if I've missed something in the intervening posts but from what I can see the OP is an aggressive driver who needs to " back off. " in situations such as these.

Sure the Bentley driver is a bit of a pain with his last minute lane change to exit BUT the OP needs to improve his own driving before contemplating using his own dashcam footage to report someone else.

Have to say having watched the video ( but not read the whole thread) having a dash cam and worrying about someone else's driving and going to the trouble of posting it on the internet does strike me as you becoming one of them. Please don't tell me you have a hi vis on the back of your chair ?

I am not having a go at the OP but seriously I don't get why driver or cyclists post footage of this stuff ( fair enough if there is an accident or someone's hurt)

But surely people have better things to do with their time / life ?

The same however could be said about me replying to this post however !!

Phib

Ps it wasn't my Bentley !!!

Yes, I have admitted my driving was not fully on point, but crossing chevrons is an automatic 3 point endorsement.

This was why I started this thread, to find out whether people would report it or not.

I do have a high vis in the back of my beemer but only because I haven't bothered to remove after going over to France hehe

Let's hope the Bentley driver had a moment of awakening there and pays more attention to the road in future.
Fat chance - bet, as another poster says, that's his usual driving style, based on the superior speed and handling of his car and his driving God skills.
Well, gosh, that's an assumption and a half.

Far too common here these days.

Unlisted at the mo. Better quality available, youtube downgraded it.
I've twice seen marked police cars do that.
Can you provide a link to the footage?
You've lost me there, old son, my eyes don't have record mode.

Cue the usual suspects saying I made it up.

No one died, no one got hurt, no one got injured, no cars were damaged.

What's the benefit to you of posting it online and reporting it?

I could record 100s of people on a dashcam speeding daily but guess what? I'm not a Police Officer, not a grass and have better things to do with my life...

Your not exactly a law abiding driver either by the sounds of things o I guess that makes you a hypocrite as well as a wannabe traffic cop.

When had you "seen him driving like a muppet previously"? If it was on this journey then that makes the whole thing quite likely to be similar to what I posted earlier.
A bit further back chopping and changing lanes. At one point he had been directly behind me then as I indicated into lane 1 he accelerated past me and then performed the manoeuvre in the footage.
You are chopping and changing lanes and speed too. The video just starts as you are moving into the inside lane only 50-100 yards before the exit.

The two of you arrived at the exit with only space for one car, you, to squeeze in.

I earlier posted that you were reacting to catch the other driver and you called me a "weirdo". You've since admitted that you indeed change your driving to capture him.

I've got a feeling somewhere on another forum a Bentley driver will be cursing a Vauxhall driver about his driving on the road.
VXR driver sees VW coming and shuts door to stop him getting on the slip, VW driver cops for the ump and boots it and gets in in front of Black Van. VXR driver is disgruntled because VW driver has foiled his plan ?

I have looked at the footage and can say it is not Dangerous Driving by the definition. The RR brakes slightly would say it was due to thinking WTF , he is guilty of driving over solid white lines.
I have a dashcam and see this type driving daily, I am also a traffic cop of 25yrs and I wouldn't put it on an Internet site. Or contact the police I would however do what I always do when at work and see this type of behaviour deal with it as I feel fit.
Evidentially you can not make out from the footage if it was bad or not due to your position and the vehicle ahead obscuring your view also don't know if it was me or not but couldn't make out the reg no, but I will stand to be corrected.

Fair enough. You can see the reg on my footage at home that is at 1080p, youtube downgraded it to 360p for some reason. He is actually guilty of crossing chevrons, not white lines if I have read things right. Granted it is not Dangerous Driving in law, but in practice it is.

It is a bit perplexing how many people here constantly complain about driving standards in this country & that little is being done about it, yet many here also then say driving like that should be ignored.

Yep, confuses me too. I wonder what the line is for these people to report something to the police?

Vid works. Thought you had a Vauxhall Monaro? That looked like a city car?
Bentley in the wrong, missed junction nearly, cut up rrs. You then wanted to catch him up to show plate.
Move on, unprotected vid and overwrite it.

The issue for me with driving standards is not that peoe
Do the odd occasional daft thing. It's that there is an inherent removal of the concept of risk management and competence from driving in favour of an absolute compliance approach.

I've spent a few weeks sitting on the floor with some of my staff listening to claims calls and the overriding message that I get from drivers aged 30 and below is "I can't be in the wrong, I wasn't speeding" or "the other driver was speeding so they're at fault" with scant regard to the atrocious driving skills our under 30 year old insured must've displayed to cause the accident.
