I think you should just concentrate on your own driving and not get involved in other people's business.

It wasn't very clever, but it's not your job to chase after and police the driving of others.

So the real story is "I was racing a guy in a Range Rover and probably cut him up quite badly whilst blasting off. He took offence and chased after me. I'm now too scared to leave my house in case he's out there somewhere, so I want to tell the police about his minor infraction, but need the approval of online people that I've never met."

Closer to the truth?
No. Did you even watch it? You really do come across as a bit of a muppet. I had nothing to do with the RR and only noticed the Bentley as I was manoeuvring t come off the a3.
No I didn't watch it. I'll accept I put RR when it should've been a Bentley in my post.

However, I'm bored of the sanctimonious attitude of the ever increasing dashcam brigade on here. You need to think about the adage that goes something like "anyone who drives slower than me is an idiot and anyone who drives faster than me is a maniac." ste driving, but big deal it happens everyday

What is it about those of you with dashcams that suddenly makes you the arbiters of traffic standards?

Can you tell that the Bentley wasn't undertaking a perfectly safe ofpvertake when the RR driver decided to speed up, leaving the Bently driver nowhere to go amd he did a solid manoeuvre by speeding up and getting Infront before the hatchings ended?

What is it about those of you woth dashcams that sudden,y makes you the arbiters of traffic standards?
Watch the footage, it is only 56s after all, and then come back with your answers.

There was no "perfectly safe overtake" at all.

It's a pretty st piece of driving but worse happens all the time. I very much doubt Dibble will be interested.

Old Loon has been being a bit aggressive lately (mostly out of character I would add). Don't take it personally, I'm sure he'll get that sand out of his vagina soon.

This is the sort of answer I was looking for. I thought the dibble hated hatch crossing.

I watched it and chamged my post soon after and before you psoted this. Interestingly most agree with my subsequent assessment.

Now get back to watching the neighbours from behind your curtains.

It was a stupid late manoeuvre on the part of the Bentley driver but I wouldn't get worked up about it.

I have cameras in the front and back windscreens of my car, however they are only used for my own protection in case of an accident - no matter how many instances of roads based muppetry I may or may not see.

The way I look at it, is if I wanted to be a cop, I'd join the Police.

Becoming one of 'them' (being the YouTube dashcam brigade, not the Police!) is not something I'd aspire to.

Been in the army, couldn't earn what I do now in the police. Did think about being a HATO at one point but had points on my licence.

If I witnessed an accident and caught it on a dash cam i'd offer up the footage.

It really is beyond a joke these days.

The worst part of it is when you view these people's videos, they are either riddled with lots of their own errors, or often they've been as much to blame for an incident that they have an issue with.

Putting a dash camera in cars makes too many drivers feel they are empowered.

I don't know how often people are involved in accidents and incidents that require a camera just in case. I've honestly never needed one and don't understand the hysteria that is currently an epidemic.

These cameras are causing more issues than they are solving. Too many camera cars feel they are entitled to drive like an idiot to capture others doing something wrong.

Would you of reported it without a dashcam? If not then it wasn't dangerous enough to bother.

Before dash cams if someone's driving was dangerous the plod would be told and just have a quiet word. Now everyone with a dashcam thinks all should be punished. Let's hope OP never does a slightly risk move or doesn't signal and that person just reports it without asking a forum.

To YouTube?

If the leadup to and aftermath of an accident was captured then yes, it would be civic duty to at least offer the footage to both parties, however it wouldn't see the light of YouTube.

That is merely semantics though - the point was "If I saw bad driving then c'est la vie" - I'm not the type of person to post it online in the hope of causing someone all kinds of Police-related grief.

If you thought it dangerous enough to bother & didn't have a dashcam there'd be little point in reporting it.
The fact people have the dashcam means they'll bother reporting it now because they believe there is a point as something is more likely to be done about it.
