As judges of character and accurate assessment of what people are doing around you, you two disqualify yourselves from good policing.
Thankfully, officers I've met face to face have rarely been like you.
Very disappointed to see you ducking the issue with the personal insult diversionary tactic.
Ducking what issue?Thankfully, officers I've met face to face have rarely been like you.

You clearly have a problem with being pulled up on comments you made earlier.
So now because you have your arse in your hands you make an attempt to judge the manner in which we both Police.
Brilliant, please continue because you're coming across really well.

I can't see any insults from anyone towards yourself. Facts, but no insults.
If you want to be pedantic, delete "insult", insert "sarcasm". As in "No no we're missing the point, he's some sort of comedy genius....Ah, in that case, my apologies. Guess I completely misinterpreted his posts"

No one is ducking anything. You tried to have a pop.
Your steadfast belief that police officers can do no wrong is truly worrying. If I were in your position and here, I would view this as a good place for public feedback, unavailable anywhere else. I'm conscious of this, so I offer my thoughts on occasion, having seen some bloody awful driving and mistakes made by police drivers. If something appears here, I hope comment by me might prove useful. I believe that one never stops learning about driving and the public deserves to expect police drivers to think the same way. I try to approach this with good humour, we call it leg pulling in the pub, but that seems to wash right over the heads of some of you. All this stuff about "having a pop" is indicative of only one thing, a persecution complex.

You got called out, and proved that you were unaware of certain exemptions.
No, wrong again. I'm perfectly aware that you have exemptions for just about everything. I even thought you could park on double yellows until I heard about that traffic warden who issued a ticket.Mk3Spitfire said:
You didn't like it, and tried to pass it off as "jesting". Didn't work.
An assertion and judgement you can never verify. Because it's as wrong as wrong gets. Thank god you'll never be a judge.
Did that cop genuinely laugh when you made your comment about the donugts? Or do you think be may have been humouring you? Like the millions of officers who smile politely before declining the request to taxi intoxicated members of the public from one place to the next....week in, week out.
I am very aware, probably more so than your fine self, that officers can, and indeed, do wrong, because it makes my skin crawl. The point is though, from the snapshot we have, the cop wasnt doing anything "wrong", but that seems to be something you're unwilling to accept.
No pedantry. If you mean sarcasm, say sarcasm. It's a form of wit, apparently. So one could say I was being witty, which isn't a million miles away from the humour you go on about.

If you look back, I think you'll find I said "I might be wrong". In reality, my original post was meant to be tongue in cheek with a pointer to a potential problem. My remark that I expected a "bite" ran through my mind as I clicked post, not beforehand.I am very aware, probably more so than your fine self, that officers can, and indeed, do wrong, because it makes my skin crawl. MBH - Spitfire may never be a judge (an assertion and judgement you can never verify) but he could easily become a JP. I'm not sure which deity you need to thank if he does.

'It’s a cliché but BMW drivers have a certain, how shall we put this, “style” about their driving. Police trained drivers do not. Is it in the slow lane? Is he travelling at the speed limit? Is he behaving like a proper driver should?'
What a silly statement.
because the arseperationals have moved on to Audi now ... What a silly statement.

I think most of us know what we are looking out for with regard to unmarked Police cars, but worth a share just for a quick read to see one of them and the VRM in the flesh for Hampshire if nothing else

I will admit they are getting better at making the unmarked cars less obvious but I still haven't been fooled by one yet...
How do you know you haven't been fooled by one? All you know is you haven't been stopped by one that you didn't spot..;)XCP said:
I must admit that when my house was burgled, the Burglary Squad turned up in a rather elderly Jag. I bet no-one here would have realised it was a police car!
'Q car' or having to use their own motor or the ACPO ranks had decided it wasn;t posh enough forthe ivory towers fleet and the garage weren't ready to sell it ? mph1977 said:

No I think it was confiscated from someone who no longer had need of it. It was a right old banger.
We used to have a few right old snotters that we used to tool about in on plain clothes. We had a P reg Civic and a T reg Laguna estate, they were perfect as they came complete with missing wheel trims, highly believable piles of rubbish inside and dents everywhere. We used to spin the traffic boys on nights.....never got old!
The are a few really scruffy looking unmarked cars around here 03 silver for focus went screaming past me on a303 the other day with blues on. Amazes me that they dont use some of the 100s of cars they confiscate. It would reduce costs a bit and make for some interesting police cars.
