Nope, they will never see my business again and I will actually actively inform people about this too.

It appears Flux will resolve the issue, and review procedures I hope.

Terribly sorry for your loss OP.

I hope AF go above and beyond in resolving this and their processes, and are given a chance to explain here as at the moment I can see a lot of business drifting away based on their actions as reported so far.

I'd quite like to see what they have to say and hope this isn't just closed... A man is burying his son and they want £70... At the very least someone senior should be writing a personal letter of apology and sending some flowers to the family.

Disgraceful frown

Feel so sorry for you OP, what an awful thing to happen.

I'm with Adrian Flux but will be looking elsewhere come renewal next month.

Thanks to everyone that has commented - I have had communication from Adrian Flux that they will now cancel this charge.

I do wonder if I hadn't posted this if they would have actually progressed with a debt collectors etc....

Once again thanks, and for all the messages of condolences.

Good news OP however I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Poor show by Adrian Flux though - although props to Jordan for getting it sorted quickly.

My sincerest condolences. Having lost a child myself, you should not have had to go through this on top of your enormous loss. As with others, no Flux insurance for me.

My message to Flux read:

Someone at Flux ought to be very very ashamed of their behaviour.

In all honesty I hope the lost business bites you in the ass!

Sorry for your loss - a mod may edit out the name of the company due to name and shame regulations.
They'll probably ban the OP

I'm so sorry for your loss, my brother died at a similar age and I remember well the pain my mum went through at the time, I can't remember which insurance company it was but when I informed them about my brothers passing they, along with the bank and mobile phone provider etc were very sympathetic and everything got sorted out immediately and with no hassle, no reason Adrian Flux couldn't have done this for you. They are certainly now on the list of companies I will avoid using in the future.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. My insurance is due for renewal in May, please consider Adrian Flux as no longer required to be my insurer.

Disgraceful behaviour from Adrian Flux. I would suggest that the insurance ombudsman should get involved. This sort of nonsense from a Corporation really boils my piss quite frankly.

This. I remember when they first came along they were great, some years later I spoke to them and recall then that I wouldn't be using them again, can't remember why.

I insured my ram with adrian flux, on a classic policy. Best price by far, but when i sold it mid term and rang them to cancel, they said they would only issue me a % refund and keep a certain amount as im cancelling mid term.

I said bks im not accepting that, an admin charge fair enough but you are not keeping a % of my premium for the months im not insured for!

I said if that was explained to me when i took the policy i would have said jog on. Got the full refund.
