Why are people so surprised at using a tweet to contact an organization or company?
Did you all mock and giggle when email was first introduced?
I've seen several issues / problems sorted via social media as opposed to more traditional methods of communication.

Shhhhh I've had some really good outcomes using Twitter too, but don't go broadcasting it.
To answer your question, lots of people still eschew e-mail and twitter - but this is not a bad thing - let's just get on and leave them to it.

A mate had this issue a while ago. He was advised by the police to put a random sticker (even a GB sticker) on the rear of the car, that way if you do get zapped by a camera then you can help identify it as not being you.

I've had an email and a phone call (9pm) from Staffordshire police saying its a common occurrence they get this wrong (!)
This stuff is great. I'll remember this thread next time I get a speeding ticket!!Some time ago I received a letter from Surrey police saying I had been reported for using a restricted road in Coulsdon, if I remember correctly. I was told that if i did it again I would be prosecuted. I had independent proof my car was elsewhere at the time and wrote back, with a copy to the CC, asking for the evidence and could they confirm it was the same make and model that had been observed compared with the VRN. The letter stated that the residents of the said road were very concerned that the restriction continued to be ignored. I wrote that I am sure that in this time of stress on police time that they must surely be grateful that the Police were doing anything about it, let alone writing letters.
I received a phone call from a flustered WPC telling me there had been a mistake somewhere between it being reported by a resident and the VRN retrieval.

yes good stuff social media, had very quick responses from the train company that run the line i commute on for info, used to log calls via a forum for phone issues, always sorted quickly, rather than spending hours on the phone to a call centre etc.
Like I said sssshhhh. Remember twitter is crap and only for people with beards/spots, right - if everyone starts using it it'll be as bad the call centres Kyodo said:

COVERT SNIPER INSERTION SPECIALIST
I doubt he was ever in the SAS, no self respecting blade, serving or otherwise would advertise that on a car forum...Still, if you're around 22Rgt, whose boots are in the officers mess and what gun is in the Sergeant's Mess? And one more, which charity bucket is in the entrance to the cookhouse?
Doubt he'll respond though... :-)

He's obviously very thick-skinned, and even more obviously as thick as sh|t, with everyone laughing at him.
He boasts at being a powerfully built 18 stone, I kid you not. (He doesn't offer the additional info that he's only 5'2 tall, and thus a wee fat bd.)
