Lame survey, but it sounds like we need to keep an extra eye out on Thursday/Friday. I looked up TISPOL and they are promoting a 24 hour speed enforcement marathon confused on the 16th and 17th April across Europe, including the UK

One of the Tweets on theor twitter thingy- "15 vehicles stopped on the M6 toll since 08:00. 118 mph was the fastest vehicle that was stopped - very likely to loose his licence" - How tight should his license be then?
About the same as his licence I'd imagine

Saw the checks last night. Travelling north on M6 between 4A and 5. Couldn’t work out how or what they were checking. It was the middle of the rush hour (5:00pm ish) with the variable speeds in operation.
Another noticeable difference – usually at that time it is 4 lane Hard shoulder running all the way from 4A up to J8 (along with 60mph) last night it was 3 lane running (with no apparent problems )at between 40 & 60 with the 4 lane running only opening up after J6
