Try emailing them under the feedback section for their services.
Primarily it's for services relating to locating an insurer here or abroad but no harm in emailing them and advising the issue.

minor update.... morning post just arrived - at 2.35pm...
Recieved a letter from the Insurance company dated Monday admitting that they had failed to submit the new vehicle details to the Mid back in January. They have also included a cheque as compensation for Fridays incident with the Police, but no further explaination other than they failed to update the details in January.

On the first pull it was a shock and worry that the car was going to be seized as I couldnt prove it was insured... until I remembered the previous vehicle registration on the policy.
Since then its more the inconvenience of being pulled up and having to explain things as its usually in heavy traffic/and or roadwork areas either on the way to or returning from work.. a right pita .. luckily I am not doing that route again until next week , so may avoid being pulled agian before its on the database.

I assume it's not as simple as part of the reg transposed?
I got into a pickle using the reg off the car when I took over a 12 month old company car. Turned out the supplying dealer had transposed two digits.

no, the insurance company have assured me that they have all the details and they are correct - and have been since January - they just failed to update them on MiD.I got into a pickle using the reg off the car when I took over a 12 month old company car. I did also contact the MiD last week and recieved a reply - they cant do anything and its nothing to do with them according to the reply - its up to the insurance company to sort it out.... eventually.. hopefully..
as an update, after having checked everyday since I was informed about askmid my vehicle
is now showing on the database
so thats originally and correctly insured on the - 05/01/15
then reported/updated by insurance company - 10/04/15
and now updated on the database - 23/04/15
now between the second 2 thats a pretty large discrepancy by anyones standards....

But between the last two is within the fourteen days allowed.
allowed by the insurance company obviously...... I would suggest that 14 days is not really an acceptable timeframe considering the possible problems it can potentially cause... a couple of days maybe, unless they sent the update via mail which was carried to Milton Keynes by a three legged donkey via the Sahara.well, it seems this insurance company is the gift that just keeps on giving.......
Policy expired Saturday and I requested proof of no claims discount on Friday as I changed to another insurer.
Proof of no claims is emailed to me this morning showing that have 0 years no claims! Pretty strange as I had maximum no claims when I started with them 12 months ago and havent made a claim!
