In that case I'd simply drag the offending vehicles out of the spaces and leave them on the public road. I'm sure this is very wrong but I'd rather risk any potential fallout than leave them where they are.

Is the answer then to simply throw this back to the landlord? Someone is denying you access to a facility that you are paying for.

Yes I had found and read that, thanks.

I think trying to persuade the Council that it is in fact their responsibility may be the easiest short term. Looking on the internet some appear to acknowledge that fact, some deny it, and at least one I found offer to do the work for a £50 charge.

It's a farce considering the legislation is the same for all.

Legally speaking, I don't know.

But if it was me personally, I would put the rear wheels on "McDonald's type" plastic trays, jack up the front axle on a trolley jack and very carefully tow it to the nearest spot where the council WILL deal with it and remove it.

I had one dumped,it was hot wired, syringes on the seats etc etc and still the cops were not interested because it was private land !!!! We jacked it up and left in the road. It soon got removed.
Do the same but do it when no ones looking.

It depends on how the spaces are granted in the lease, it could still be landlords responsibility. How are costs of maintaining the car park dealt with?

The landlord invoices me for the proportion he is invoiced by the managing agents for the whole site. My landlord does not own the whole site.

Good news though, the wrecked MX5 has gone overnight.

There really are some selfish fking cocks in this world. ranting

I left a note taped to the windscreen of the Fiesta stating that if it wasn't removed within 7 days I would report it to the council as abandoned.

I get in this morning and it's moved from the space to across the car park, now taking up two spaces. Both mine. furious

I've got a similar problem, car abandoned in the car park of an industrial unit that I have up for sale.

Spoken to here local council, they're going to trace the owner and have the car removed one way or the other.

Lucky you!

I gave them 7 days from last Friday. Even though they are now taking the piss I will honour that and only seek to enforce the Councils obligation on Friday.

Don't bother trying to move the car. Phone up the council in the morning and tell them you spotted a group of youths around the car the previous night and you had ask them to move on. Say you are worried about vandalism or arson, they'll soon move the cars.
Honestly, do this, it works.

So this is not an abandoned vehicle as the likely owner has read your 7 day message and moved it to block two of your office car spaces.

My guess it is someone winding you up either from youir company or one of the other companies that have access to the other spaces in the car park.

I sold a Vito that was left on our land on Gumtree for a third of its market value, cash, same day to a guy who removed the number plates, put it on a trailer and drove straight to Poland.

Well true it's apparently not abandoned but that won't stop me reporting is as such.
