Did it fail because there's no gaffer tape binding the split end of the wood? :-D

I'm sycamore tree puns.
That repair looks oak kay to me as it won't rust after driving on the beech.
The rest needs a good sprucing up though.

Maybe they thought you wouldn't TWIG.

Might want to BRANCH out and RING a decent repairer.

Hope they don't LEVEE too much expense and you end up looking like a right SAP

As an aside Yew would have been a better choice than the crappy pine they have used as Yew is strong, flexible, and weather resistant. teacher
