Hi,
Just a quick question to BIB or those that might know. Has anyone ever had a Notice of Intended Prosecution that was dropped by the Police?
The reason I ask is that when I received the said letter, (I had been clocked at 38mph in a 30mph limit and also failing to stop at traffic light along a road I use on a semi regular basis) I phoned up the number stated to clarify something with the operator so that I didn't tick any incorrect boxes before sending it back to Plod to confirm I was the driver.
After taking my details and keeping me on hold for ages she told me not to worry as the NIP would not be going forward. I didn't think to ask why as I couldn't quite believe my luck.
Any ideas?
