Two points:

A van driver became the first person to be prosecuted for middle lane hogging on he M62 in Yorkshire.

For those who have driven on freeways in the USA, you will have noticed that drivers stay in the same lane regardless of traffic flow and only change lane when over or under taking which is quite legal.
What's your point. In America they drive on the right, we drive on the left. They have rules, we have rules.

regardless if Police Scotland were to take the same approach to DWDCA (ie middle lane morons ) as they do with speeding we would be rid of this epidemic in no time.

every single journey I take on Scotlands motorways and many dual carriageways I encounter these muppets sitting absolutely oblivious in lane 2/3 holding up traffic. either that or PS can offer to turn a blind eye to the rest of us binning them into the barrier ?

The subject is lane discipline. The Americans have it, we don't. That is the only point.

Getting worse, the cycle warrior in Aberdeen took a pic of a driver watching his iPad, and phone, the cyclist caught up with the driver and filmed him from the left hand side of the vehicle, the police successfully prosecuted the driver, BUT someone wrote to the local paper, pointing out that cyclists shouldn't undertake cars.

FFS.
