Police convoy M180

There was a strange police convoy on the M180 today a marked BMW at the front then, seven white unmarked Mercedes sprinter vans four dark blue Volvo estates and then a marked BMW at the back all with blue lights flashing.
Any idea what they could have been moving or were going?
They continued on past the M181 and towards Grimsby.

Anyone else see it?

Not aware of anything big happening this week in Grimsby, other than the funeral for the policeman who died in a motorbike crash a week or so ago. I believe the funeral precession is starting in Grimsby and moving to Willerby on Wednesday.

No idea, perhaps they were trying to catch up with the three ponies trotting down the hard shoulder of the M18 towards the M180, mind you, that was this morning.

Bless them, glad I was going the other way. (Sensible cars were doing their own rolling roadblock behind).
