This is a question I've been asking as well. On a previous iteration (Mk2) of the MX5 you set the little control wheel (for headlamp height) to '3' or something like that for driving on the right. But I can't find any information about the latest model. Mazda UK's web site suggests contacting your dealer for technical queries, which is taking the piss in no uncertain terms.
That's not doing anything clever though is it? It's just setting the lights to the lowest setting so that the kick up at the left is less noticeable.

Most projector lights are still producing the beam pattern by a piece of metal placed in the path of the beam. Some (like the ones fitted to my MG and the ones on my old Alfa GTV) have a lever on the back of the light unit that moves the shutter so the pattern is straight with no kick up at one side - this is considered sufficient to avoid dazzling others when driving on the wrong side, but not to pass inspections such as the French CT (MOT).

Here's a question - why, with all these new 'fancy dan' lights that can do all sorts - is there not an option for 'LHD/RHD' in the menu system? The beams are no longer made by angled lenses in the headlight body itself so why can't it be set to easily swap between both?
There will be in some cars as other posters have suggested with the Skoda that is linked to the sat-nav etc. You'd need to check the handbook for each car obviously but my 05 plate Vectra with adaptive headlights doesn't offer it in any menu, however it is in the handbook that all you need to do is open the bonnet, lift the lid on the fusebox by the battery and remove a relay to put them into RHD mode. That's 10-11 year old tech though, I'd expect to be able to do it through the car without removing bits on something more modern.

I keep meaning to have a poke around under the bonnet. The other obvious solution is, don't drive at night, which we can get away with.
