Texting whilst driving is just dangerous.

Why not phone and use a hands free instead.

You may be the exception to the rule but you'll never forgive yourself if you kill or injure someone whilst doing it.

Out company policy is no phone use whatsoever whilst in control of a vehicle. It is very strictly enforced.
Operationally it can make things difficult sometimes, but in terms of safety, it's absolutely the right thing.

I have to say, i don't really understand why so many of your customers are texting you?

Maybe its just because i utterly hate texts (possibly because I'm too slow!)

But I'm in the same sector and customers either call, or if not in a hurry they email.

Texting in my opinion is not really professional. If someone does text me, i will just call them back as its just as quick than fiddling around and swearing at a bloody iPhone that keeps trying to guess what i don't want to bloody say!

There are many thousands of people who run businesses without the need to drive dangerously all day every day, and texting whilst driving is, quite simply, dangerous driving. They all have the same problems, but are, maybe, more professional solving them safely.
If you need to be on the phone, texting or emailing most of the time it's simple - you don't do it whilst driving. Either get a chauffeur or be office based. That way you develop the business and keep your licence without risking killing someone, or killing yourself.
