I looked at it smile
Will keep my eyes open for anything similar, even though i'm the other end of the country.

Funnily enough I was at Blyton yesterday and had a look at all the trailers just in case.

Can't see it in the topic but did you try the police?
They could use the time on the video and traffic monitoring data to narrow down the vehicle used to tow your trailer away. Perhaps I'm being ridiculous. smile

I popped up there yesterday and didn't see it. Makes me realise how easy it will be to spot mine though as every trailer is slightly different.

It took seconds to paste it here so if only one person looks once then it was worth it.
I feel your pain. I had a Brian James trailer stolen about 15 years back, and still eyeball every one I see on the roads 'just in case', although any distinguishing marks would be long gone.

Mine had a pretty serious hitch lock on it, and still went. Did you have any security on yours?

They wouldn't even come and look at the CCTV footage. The Mrs is a copper and I've done nothing but give her neat st about it.

Just a hitch lock and behind some gates. Security will be going up before the next one though. Bigger gates, CCTV, ground anchors, wheels clamped or removed, and a few other things I don't want to say.

What car were you in? Didn't see you or I would've said hi.

I was in my Audi as I was heading over to my parents house straight after.

Was yours the Megane parked near the viewing bank?
I didn't stay long enough to see it on track.

No mate, got a green S2 Elise now! Only went to spectate so was parked as you first get near the track with a red Golf R.

I played the original file on my VLC player and it's the same quality unfortunately!
You can improve the playback quality using VLC by going into preferences > Video settings > Deinterlace mode > and select either Bob or Yadif (2x) from the drop down menu, just be aware that changing these settings will increase the loading on the processor of your computer and make playback jerky if you're not using a fast processor.

These are the settings on the Mac which are very similar to the PC, just the menu descriptions are slightly different.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention you also have to enable the filters before they will work and this setting is well hidden > Preferences > Video, then Click the 'Show All' button in the bottom left, click on 'Filters' then tick 'Deinterlacing filter' and perhaps 'Video post processing filter'. This menu selection seems all a bit daft to me, but that's VLC for you!

Have enclosed a screenshot so you know which menu to look for:

With car trailers you need to bolt them down using something like 2 Almax chains to 2 solid blocks of concrete with massive steel loops in them with Chubb battleship or Squire 65 padlocks plus drill your surname in the steel sides in small holes. You need to use something that will defeat a 7.5 tonne truck and a boat anchor chain wrapped around the trailer and truck. It's difficult but you have to make it so difficult they won't bother.

I had one stolen then put the replacement in a garage rather than the back of the garden, plus ground anchor and Almax chain etc.

Just found this video on YouTube which demonstrates when using VLC how to increase detail from video recorded at night and the results are quite dramatic and may get the results you are looking for - I had no idea this existed till now!

How to get much more details from NIGHT video footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sr9_21Cr1A

Cheers for the video enhancing tips but I don't think it's making any difference. Maybe it's my laptop.

The video linked to seems to be more for dark footage rather than night vision footage so it doesn't seem to change much other than brightness! frown

Nope sadly.
Just had a neighbour round though and someone had a bobcat stolen in the village by an old volvo with a trailer yesterday. They have the reg and the police are visiting them tonight. Fingers crossed they find them and it was my trailer.

Sorry for theft OP. I will be looking at the trailers on future track days and so are plenty of other folks. In the meantime I just had a scan of eBay and it looks like your trailer is a "Brian James Clubman"? The build and stickers match your trailer.

The one for sale on eBay has a spare wheel, was your spare on when it was taken?
