It had a private plate but ended in something like BMM and a middle aged chap was sitting in it when I passed the first time so not you I don't think. Stunning looking cars!

Has any cop ever been do e for causing death /injuries while chasing? Unless they ram Scroty McScumbag, surely if he bins it into a tree, its down to their driving whilst trying to escape.
Genuine Q,I have no idea.
Mind you, with PC as it is,and the lack of support for frontline coppers,I would not be surprised.
When in pursuit, every Officer has R V Holden in their mind.

I would also suggest this thread is revisited in 12 months time. We can then see exactly how many drivers have been 'done' for 32mph. Or is there a lot of Daily Wail-esq comments on here

Perhaps the private sector has fewer Common Purpose programmed 'Future Leaders'?

Sir Stephen House is an absolute waste of space. First of all he scrapped traffic wardens BEFORE legislation was in place to replace them with parking attendants (legislation is required for outwith the major cities). Then, he gets rid of civilian staff. Then he sells off 200 patrol cars. Then he closed police stations - so many that in one county, there isn't a 24 hour police station any more.

Then, at a major accident - attended by 3 fire appliances, 2 paramedic ambulances and the Rapid Response medic - still the nearest traffic patrol car was 35 miles away!

Next, he disbands burglary squads....... until burglaries went on the increase.

He puts armed cops on the streets, where firearms have never been a problem! (Try telling your kids that guns are necessary when you see the cops in McDonalds, tooled up and laughing and joking!)

And he tried to shut down (in many cases succeeded) saunas, putting prozzies back on the streets! Of course, he kept the gay saunas open so as not offend his friends! Until he took over, Edinburgh didn't have a problem - only Glasgow - where he was chief cop.

Now, his call centre ratification means that it can take up to 9 minutes in one case to answer a 999 call!

In Scotland, Police Scotland is referred to Police Glasgow, as he's using Glagsow to methods to police and entire country that is so diverse!

And this week, 2 cops were spotted fast asleep in their patrol car - all because they now work stupid hours with breaks only when their area commander feels like giving them one. Working nights then going straight on to days (making a 24+hour shift) is regular.

The sooner this areshole goes, the better life will be for everyone in Scotland - natives and visitors!

You missed out "stop and search"!

http://www.theguardian.com/law/2015/mar/31/human-r...

Guardian said:
An inquiry by the Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland found a series of failures by Police Scotland after the force increased the use of common law stop and search, dwarfing its use everywhere else in the UK.

After revealing that 83 children under 11 were stopped and searched in six months last year without any proof of a crime – despite the force’s promise that it would end, the inspectorate said Police Scotland’s record-keeping on stop and search was riddled with errors and inconsistencies.

After months of criticism, the force said it had met the inspectorate’s call for a big cut in stop and searches by immediately limiting its routine use.

The Scottish justice secretary, Michael Matheson, announced on Tuesday that John Scott QC, a leading human rights lawyer and chair of the Scottish branch of the Howard League for Penal Reform, would now lead an expert panel to investigate the future use of stop and search, including considering a ban.

He primarily has a workforce of people who can't be made redundant and who the majority of the budget is spent upon. He has to make another £11 million of savings to achieve the £57.5m savings this year. Where do you think the savings come from?

Not this again! He has the same number of armed officers (fewer than the rest of the UK per head) as before. Having a gun doesn't stop you from having to eat...

Rubbish. Never from a pre-planned capacity, and perhaps very rarely on major incident.

How about this then? I only hope the poor guy died instantly for his sake. Doesn't do his girlfriend lying next to his corpse for 4 days though.
UPDATE: MISSING MAN AND WOMAN, STIRLINGSHIRE
Assistant Chief Constable Kate Thomson, Local Policing East, said:
“Police Scotland were called to the M9 southbound near junction 9 at around 9.50am this morning (Weds 8 July) following a report of a one car road traffic collision involving a Renault Clio which had left the road. Officers attended and the male driver of the car was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger was conveyed to the Southern General, Glasgow, where she is in a critical condition.
"We believe that this is connected to the ongoing missing persons search for John Yuill (28) and Lamara Bell (25).
“As part of our investigation into this incident, it has come to light that a call was made to police late on Sunday morning regarding a car which was reported as being off the road. For reasons currently being investigated, that report was not followed up at the time. Following a call this morning, officers attended the scene.
“Officers have notified the families of this update. Our thoughts are with both families at this difficult time.
“A full investigation is currently underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident.”
