HELP!!! License revoked in error- DVLA totally uncooperative

Perhaps serving BiB and LoonR1 (for the insurance bit) can confirm but has anyone other than a roadside police person (and Durzel) told you not to drive?
I don't BiB-bash but sometimes they don't actually understand/know the law.

I am not certain why having a complicated residency is relevant? I have complied with all requirements of the law and as a regular visitor to the UK have confirmed with the Police on more than one occasion that I have entitlement/need for a UK licence. I am aware that the standard procedure for an overseas residence is to get a licence from his locale but China is an unusual case in this instance as a Chinese driving licence (which I also possess) is not legal in the UK

Advice/instruction not to drive has come from both DVLA and BiB

But what are the chances of getting stopped again? I'd certainly carry on driving if it were me.

Use the on line query system to ask what is going on, putting in all the info you have. First you'll get an auto acknowledgement but you will get a reply from a named person within 3 working days. Keep a copy of that reply, which won't be particularly helpful, more of a stalling tactic. Obviously make sure your phone details are there.

After a couple of days or so go through the process again, repeating everything and adding to your new mail the answer you received to your first.

Again you'll get an acknowledgement and, within 3 working days (which is what they have been committed to by the new boss) another answer. It may or may not be helpful.

If necessary, repeat the query, each time adding the previous replies.

Pretty soon someone will call you to find out what your real problem is and you will get a live mail address to send in your query which will be dealt with promptly. (If that's a fair term to use at this stage).

I've just been through this with another query. The situation is that they are committed to the 3 day reply thing but use it to fob off 'customers'. Repeatedly making the queries ties the system up and seems to prompt them to do something positive.

It not too difficult to make queries, after the first, just a matter of cutting and pasting etc.

Do you have a UK residence at which your licence is registered? If not, how will you receive the new licence. Have you thought about going to DVLA in Swansea, unfortunately they closed all the local offices.

OP. You say that most of your time is spe t inCbina. Do you have a Chinese driving licence that you could drive on legally over here?

In answer to your questions I do have a Chinese driving licence but it is not legal in the UK sadly

If (a big IF) the OP's UK licence has purportedly been revoked but the purported revocation is unlawful, then - arguably - he still has a licence. An unlawful decision by a public body is a legal nullity. This argument will do the OP no good, however, if he is stopped by the police because he is shown on the database as having no licence. Yadda yadda, tell it to the Judge, the police officer may say, but in the meantime enjoy these prison rissoles.

I have no clue whether the revocation here was lawful or unlawful, as the OP isn't telling us much about the facts.

Can you get down to Swansea and sort it out in person? I know it is a faff, but I suspect it would be done in a few hours and you can get back to your holiday and also know that it is sorted for the next visit?
