Asking to see the boss
Discussion
We've had lots of stories on here where people were not happy with the service they received from the police.
2 recent ones-
Getting letters for flashing your lights, when you were really only being helpful.
The guys uncle who had his laptops wrecked.
And lots of "it's a civil matter" or "its not in the public interest" even when the evidence is clear cut.
So who has asked to see the boss, we don't get many stories here of people demanding justice or just a bit of common sense, do you get to see someone to talk it over.

After I was arrested and robbed by the police and complained to my MP, I got a 30 minute face to face meeting with an Inspector (I think - cant really remember his rank) and his side kick.
I guess that was because it was quite obvious the cops had fd up. Most people dont get that though.... Just a letter saying "On the balance of probabilities, there is no evidence of any wrongdoing"

Money taken in raid on property, not listed on property sheet, on release I got back all my property but no one had any idea of the money I was talking about, wrote to MP and money miraculously appears 3 months later with sone BS reason why I didnt get it with the rest of my property.More like a bent copper with sticky fingers as they could never offer an explanation as to why the £s were taken but not the $s in the same envelope.

Again, you are wrong.
If you make a complaint at a station, it will be taken by an Inspector, or in circumstances where one isn't available a Sergeant acting in this capacity - getting more common with the reductions in Inspector ranks.
You received no special treatment.
Only that I didnt complain in person at a police station. I wrote to my MP who got in touch with the Commissioner. I believed that meeting was arranged due to the severity of my allegations. If you make a complaint at a station, it will be taken by an Inspector, or in circumstances where one isn't available a Sergeant acting in this capacity - getting more common with the reductions in Inspector ranks.

I guess with your experience you know a bit more and the fact is that most people who complain in person (although I didnt do that) will get a meeting with an inspector to iron out issues.
Sounds like progress to me. Much better than the templated "On the balance of probabilities" letter"
I've only had an issue with the police on one occasion when they followed me through my estate and subsequently warned me for speeding. I categorically denied this as pure and simply I wasn't, but one female officer was particularly ignorant and unprofessional. Apparently I was speeding because they 'had to accelerate to 50mph to catch up with me'. I wasn't quick enough at the time but subsequent discussions with senior officers made it clear that obviously they would have to accelerate to catch up with me as they were stationary on a roundabout as I was leaving it. She ended up taking my details, which I now wish I had refused to give her so I reported her to her sgt and didn't get anywhere so I took it to the inspector. I was happy with how the inspector dealt with it but it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. It was the first time I had been accused by the police of doing something I hadn't done and it made me realise how those falsely accused of more serious crimes must feel.

No robbery took place thenMore like a bent copper with sticky fingers as they could never offer an explanation as to why the £s were taken but not the $s in the same envelope.
Thanks for the clarification.
