Where did he get the meat cleaver from? Also the law thread would be better. It sounds like a nightmare situation.

As you have said your lucky to be alive. Pushing someone is one thing but for some one to use a meat cleaver against another is mad

He needs to know what he could now be facing. Report him

I'm sorry but pushing and shoving is one thing, taking a swing at someone with a meat clever is go to jail stuff. Inform the police you are protecting no one but a dangerous fool otherwise.

Persecute him, you have to be unhinged to swing at someone like that.

Personally I think you have to worry less about getting your employer into trouble and more what would have happened if you hadn't of raised your arm in time!

Pardon my cynicism, but is this for real, or a school holiday thread? Who gets chopped with a cleaver, doesn't call the police, and instead talks about the choppage on an internet car forum while being treated in hospital?

If true, then yikes, and apols, but am I the only one to say WTF?

40 years in the meat trade has taught me NEVER get into an argument with co workers, always turn the other cheek.
I not saying it's never happened ,but when it does its quashed instantly and dismissal instantly.

Knives and cleavers are ment for only one thing, to cut meat and that's what we're made of.

Is chopping a colleague with a meat cleaver really gross misconduct?
