I honestly don't get the lack of sympathy (and veiled insults) the OP is getting - if a member bought a car with a factory fitted aero kit that didn't match the body colour and the manufacturer admitted they knew it was a common fault, I'm pretty sure many PHers would be up in arms about it and one in particular would be offering their legal help for free. wink

Why does that change because it's a pram and not a car that has a colour mis-match? confused

Some members need a reality check - many people view the level of obsession we have over cars to be OCD and beyond ridiculous. People in glass houses... wink
It's not the issue of the colour match, that may or may not be a legitimate grievance given how the items were sold and the price paid
It's the tone of the post and the notion that it is absolutely outrageous to sell 2 things described as raspberry which aren't perfect colour match and it must just simply be illegal.

You take your dog out in a pram?
Not yet! Prams only take up to 25kg or so.. Dogs are a lot heavier than that...

But a pram that can cope with all terrain i.e. where we walk dogs, well, not feckin' cheap.

Also as above, a pregnant woman who sees an "ok" pram vs the "bells and whistles" pram but let's say a tad more money, well, I think you know how that conversation is going to go and which one we "must" have.......

This is PH, a car related website, not really a place to .....
I've seen this, or similar, several times in the last week.
Given the number of sub-forums on a huge variety of topics, it's pretty stupid to post something like, "this is car forum" isn't it?

Amazing how judgemental some people can be and yet not realise their hypocrisy. You call him out on his pointless OCD and yet:

i did a two year nut and bolt restoration and now it is a show winning NEC classic show exhibited shiny thing
Which I enjoyed doing as my hobby, kept for a while and sold, no OCD, just doing something properly. was it better than time spent here tracking down peoples posting history ? Possibly, depends on what you are in to.

You are aware this is Pistonheads ? a forum where people enjoy motor vehicles. Restoring a car is not an unusual thing to do round here.

You reminded me to change "my Garage" to remove the Ascona and put the Camaro in its place.

Also, A GRAND ON A SEAT AND PRAM ?
It is more easily done than you might think. Our car seat (about to be purchased) is £400. And I still have chills when I recall what the price is of the pram we "have to have" for dog walking....
Not to mention that the decision process typically involves a highly hormonal woman who is the size of a whale and hasn't been feeling/sleeping well for months.
I have two children, the first we went down the Pram/seat/other route, luckily we did not spend a vast amount but it was enough. The second is sat in a used seat from ebay that we found for £75, it is identical to the first ones seat that we bought new.

I found that perspective arrived with the first child, not straight away but within 6 months or so. The rugrat does not care about the seat, I only care if its safe.

Ignoring the high levels of fkwittery from the op being an intergalactic jebend.
£1000......on a pram and car seat? You need to get on eBay or Gumtree because £1000 on a pram and car seat is ridiculous, £1000 buys you a track car, or some tyres and car parts, instead you spunk £1000 on a pramchair which will be
A. Worthless in a couple of years
B. Useless in a couple of years
C. Binned in a couple of years

I don't remember what I was strolled around in as a baby, but as a child I obviously needed a new pushchair because I was doing what all children do, and that is grow, so I had outgrown my pram and I am pretty sure I ended up with one of these, my mum got for free of someone in all it's finger trapping, foot slipping glory

Give it six months and they'll both be on freecycle/gumtree as your child has outgrown them.

Also, a grand is small change compared to your future costs of bringing up a child.

The irony of realist123 (a man who loves nothing more than arguing on the internet) wondering about wasting time on the internet is rather amusing.

We learnt the hard way.... spent a bloody fortune an a car/ pram/ pushchair system (Jane).

Looked smart, removable wheels etc etc etc.

Once the kids been sick in it it wont matter what colour it was, because thats the colour it will be from then on.

As has already been said, give it a few months and parts of it will be no longer used as your missus wont be interested in lugging a huge pram about when those that know realise the classic £80 Maclaren foldaway is the only thing youll need. In fact we just threw one out last week as it was hanging in the garage. Saying that I think we still have the Jane pram attachment too, but it was too messy to sell iirc....

Yup. We had a big three wheel system. It was fking huge and weighed a ton. We eventually ended up with a Mercedes carry on car seat (it had a transponder for the Merc we had then), and a Maclaren. The mega expensive 3 wheel system got sold for peanuts on fleabay.

If you've seen it several times this week, you are missing the point, try to keep up at the back.

We bought an uppababy vista for $600. 3 years and 2 kids later we sold it for $350. That means it cost $250. Doesn't seem bad when you think of it that way.

As a suffer of colourblindness I find your problem discriminates against my disability and I demand immediate and hefty compensation.

You guys really need to think things through.

I asked if the OP didn't have anything better to do than spend time and effort harrying a manufacturer over a minor issue, not posting about it.

Never mind, it's clearly beyond your level if understanding.

I have identified a need to start a pram enthusiast website

www.pistinpants.comyes

Then I can start a thread there about my new lawnmower which doesn't leave the stripes the manufacturer says it will so must be illegal woohoo

Is the hue identical to the upholstery of your car? It not, I think you have a good case for taking the car back and getting a full refund too.

On a related issue, I'm colour blind and I'm unable to tell the difference between the inferred shades of:
* The obvious green of the internet troll.
* The subtle green of the spoof thread poster.
* The glaring green of the idiot poster who genuinely believe he's got a point.

I know all these posters will be green, but I'm unable to tell them apart from their posts alone.

Now I paid a lot of money for my Internet. Surely the Internet is breaking the law by not ensuring clear inferred colour differentiation between these types of poster.

By the Internet's inaction they're clearly discriminating against colour blind middle aged, middle incomed, white, English, heterosexual males who drive three wheelers.

So, can I sue the internet for compensation?
Will I be able to take my Internet back and exchange it for a new one (I have been using this one for nearly 20 years, but I have had it from new)?
