Pistonheads: sewing matters.
Think of it as Lady's version of welding.
I know some very, very good welders who happen to be female...

I've just seen a button back on my trousers using thread, not this poncey cotton. They're now better than at manufacture smile

Shouldn't this thread be in the Needlepoint & Sewing sub-forum?

Did you buy it FROM Amazon, or did you buy it from another retailer THROUGH Amazon?
The OP never mentioned Amazon
No, but you don't need be Einstein to figure it out from the 6 xxxxxx in his post. Besides, the return policy wording confirms it without any doubt. It is offered as an option which suggests that there must be an alternative. From the spiel on his account it seems that it came with a 1 month time limited window for acceptance. AFAICS there is nothing in the linked web page which specifies any such limitation so I would suggest that xxxxxx may be on a sticky wicket. If in fact the product was never eligible for that option in the first place it is irrelevant anyway. However in any case the OP should be protected under the 6 month rule per the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) Section 48A(3). I would be pressing xxxxxx for a refund.

From the subsequent pic he posted my bet is the product in question is this one.

My guidance on this..the return item seems to be used primarily for "I don't like/want the item" and that if an item is faulty, then speak to amazon.

Its not made clear on the site but never had issues with the process this way.

Let me have your address and I'll send it to you wink

Personally I want something costing £50 to last longer than two uses.....

To be honest, I've been after a decent picnic basket for years and have never see anything remotely acceptable for fifty squideroonies. Probably why I've still not bought one.
