Car insured, but who with

okay so wifey changing her car tomorrow and can't find the insurance docs for current car. Paid for up front each year so can't check via direct debits, it is on askmid, but doesn't tell you who with. Is there a way to find the company who insures it?

If you bought it online, there should be an email trail, unless you deleted it.
If you paid by direct debit or credit card it will appear on your card or bank statement.
If you paid cash to someone selling car insurance door-to-door, you're got a bigger problem.
